As the Headteacher of Alexander McLeod, it is my aim to ensure the school continues striving for excellence and being at the forefront of innovative and inspiring learning. My aim is to ensure that our children are confident, independent learners who uphold the British values we promote in our school. I have been in education now for 15 years and my passion is ensuring that all children have access to a high-quality curriculum and learning opportunities. I believe that all children are capable of great things if they are given the right environment to flourish in.

I was appointed Deputy Head in January 2019 having previously been an Assistant Head and Early Years Leader at Alexander McLeod. One of my many roles is to work with the head-teacher and leadership team in the development of engaging, challenging learning opportunities for our children within a rich and varied curriculum. As a Designated Safeguarding Officer, I work closely with our Family Engagement Officer in maintaining and developing family links and establishing supportive relationships with parents and carers. I have a strong commitment to improving the life chances of all pupils at our school. I truly believe that education can transform lives and that our core role as a school, is to show children that they have the power within themselves to learn and achieve through hard work, resilience and self-belief.

Mrs B. Lewis
As the Assistant Head of Curriculum at Alexander McLeod Primary, I am dedicated to ensuring that our curriculum is engaging, inclusive, and meets the diverse needs of all learners. I work closely with teachers to design and implement innovative teaching strategies that challenge and inspire students. I also lead on teaching and learning, supporting staff in adopting effective pedagogical approaches that drive high-quality instruction and student outcomes. By continuously reviewing and refining our curriculum and teaching methods, I ensure they align with current educational standards and best practices. I am passionate about creating a dynamic learning environment that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning in every student.

Mrs J. Bailey
As the Assistant Head of Inclusion at Alexander McLeod Primary, I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential. With a strong background in special educational needs (SEN), I lead initiatives to ensure that all students, regardless of ability or background, have access to personalized learning opportunities. I collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop individualised education plans (IEPs), implement positive behavior strategies, and promote diversity and equality across the school. I am passionate about fostering a school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.

Ms N. BourneSchool Business Manager
Ms N. Bourne
I have been the business manager here at Alexander McLeod for over 5 years and I lead on Human Resources, Premises and Finance. In addition to this, I am an associate governor at the school. This is my first job in the education sector. I have a master's degree in Science and previously worked in project management and consulting in the energy industry.
